No need to remove the fairings to install the frame sliders. Everything is accessible with a ratchet extender (just make sure to put the washer for the long bolt inside the fairing fin first and then put the long bolt though so you don't scratch the fin). You will need someone to hold wrench on one side when securing the bolt that goes across the engine, but otherwise no problems. The slider kit is very well made and all the other pieces were super simple to install. Highly recommended.
